Max Lippolis

Founder of The Traveling Bike Shop in 2010, Yellow Jersey Cycle is a lifetime of work on and off the bike. As a competitive cyclist juggling all the responsibilities of life, Max Lippolis struggled for many years between his passion for the bike and the security of a “job.” Fifteen years in the restaurant business and eleven years in wine sales later, here we are. 2010 saw a re-birth in a new industry for Max with this ultra convenient mobile bicycle shop concept. Since his youth Max has been building and racing bicycles through a dedicated lifestyle of living and breathing cycling.  Intense training and focus has developed Max into one of the Elite Masters racers in New England and highly ranked nationally. As an enthusiast of cycling, you will never find anyone as determined to satisfy all of your cycling and bike repair related needs!  We are now just settling into our new home in back country Greenwich, CT since Spring of 2014.  Please come and visit us to experience an entirely new breed of service!

With our Traveling Bike Shop, we mainly cover Westchester and Fairfield County communities such as Westport, Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, Rye, Ryebrook, Purchase, Harrison, New Rochelle, Larchmont, Scarsdale, White Plains, Mt. Kisco, Bedford, Armonk and many more.

While juggling the responsibilities of a new business, I still find time to train. I’m an intense competitor with a never say die attitude and believe my tenacity has helped me in overcoming all obstacles. I may be a true all-rounder, but at my best can conquer the mountains and win in the sprints.  After a long sabbatical, from 2006-2012, I managed to put together 6 solid years of racing on the Northeast Masters Circuit and returned again to racing in 2015 after a 2 year lay off while developing Yellow Jersey Cycle.
